It’s snowing heavily outside and I’m dreaming of how much I’d love to be in that 42-degrees heat and share with you all my experiences from the first Grand Slam of the year. Australia is a beautiful country and I believe that in one year, I will share with you all my photos with kangaroos, koalas and even maybe with Federer, who will hopefully manage one more season, despite having mentioned in the media that this could be his last season.
At the moment, I’m at home in Bratislava and I’m working hard to bring you the blog posts from the biggest tournaments as soon as possible. Honestly, the off-season preparation is no fun at all but I can still find some positive aspects. Except of less travelling, more relax and more family time, I also enjoy improving things which were not working well or betrayed us in the matches during the year. In this time of the year, all of us are improving our physical condition which is, together with our mental state, the most important in tennis. I’m so lucky to say that I have the best physical coach ever 🙂
This year, I have begun my preparation with a condition training in Štrbské pleso. Well, running around it at 7 a.m. was definitely not my cup of tea but I still enjoyed these two weeks of preparation in an amazing company. It’s nice to forget about our rivalry for a while and encourage each other. It pushes us forward!
As the saying goes, it’s better to see something once, than to hear about it a thousand times and that’s why I’ll show you some posts about my condition and tennis training upcoming week. In addition, there´s the new year and many new resolutions, right? Then don’t hesitate to join me and apply some of my practice to your own preparation to be ready for summer 🙂
